Newcomer Supply Michel Transport Medium provides a stable medium for transport of fresh unfixed tissues, such as renal, rectal, lymph node, skin and oral mucosa biopsies, which will undergo subsequent frozen sectioning and immunofluorescence studies. Michel Transport Medium is not a fixative and does not have any fixative properties. Michel Transport Medium is not suitable for transporting cells for flow cytometry or tissues used for fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) studies. Electron Microscopy Sciences Mirsky's Fixative Ready-to-Use 1 LT
Saponin/Glyoxylate fixative is for use in immunohistological and immunological protocols. It contains no formaldehyde or glutaraldehyde giving it reduced toxicity and virtually no odor. Neutral, buffered, and isotonic (308 mOsmol). Additionally, Mirsky's Fixative does not contain toxic or hazardous buffers such as cacodylate or barbital.
Double reactive sites afford excellent cross-linking properties while maintaining sample enzyme activity. Samples processed in Mirsky's Fixative for light microscopy can subsequently be used in electron microscopy procedures.
